AMAZING!!!!!!!, by Peter C. RobertsonI purchased the xoom to replace my ipad and im blown away by the difference. Android new honeycomb is much more productive and user friendly then iOS. I will never return to the ipad after getting my xoom and i plan on getting one for my wife as well. Hardware wise i find it to be alot better then the ipad. I love the widescreen and teh tegra 2 processor is fast. It has even replaced my laptop.

Love it just over priced(not a ower yet), by Michael S. MaceyI have use this item alot I can say but have bought one of my own because of the price. It’s amazing how much u can do with it but for the price I would rather buy a laptop. I am an big Android fan love Android apps but you can get them on this table looks like a lot of work still needs to be done in that area. The Ipad 2 is on sale now I will buy the Xoom just waiting for price to come down and more apps!

Great Android Tablet, by Robert S. Chestnuti gotta say using this tablet is more useful than an ipad. Honeycomb is different from iOS in many ways. it isnt a dumb-up version of the iphone. the interface has been redesign from the bottom up. i found it as a very promising start for Google and i can’t wait to see future optimization and upgrades. on the hardware wise, motorola defiantly put the best technology in this device right out of the box. When you compare it iPad2 specs, Xoom’s specs blows it out of the water. it makes me feel proud of owning this device.i wouldnt worry about the app selection. many of the developers i have contact told me that they’re working on developing a tablet dedicated version or optimizing their current version. in addition i cant wait to see more nvidia tegra 2 optimized games.defiantly check it out in the stores. this device isnt tie to my computer. it’s a device of its own.

I’ve never been more satisfied with a tablet than I am now..coming from a iPod touch 4th Gen..a Archos 70 & a Dell Streak 7 which were just ok.The Xoom is a godsend.Never before have I had a desktop like experience on a tablet..not until now.Everything works great.Battery life seems to go on forever.You can multi-task..have music playing..have several windows open..browse the market..all with no lag!!! I’m simply blown away by the Xoom.My cousin has a I pad (big ol iPod touch) which I played with but saw nothing special about it that I couldn’t do on my iPod touch.The Xoom is a whole new game.Honeycomb works great.Just ready for flash & this Xoom will be perfect!!!

Delighted, by James E. DewI have one day with my Xoom. It is a delight. Not perfect, but pretty darn cool. I have read some gripes about the interaction not working. I have not experienced any aparent software problems. I own an iPad and really love it too. But, the whole Apple thing with NO FLASH is pissing me off. Especially in light of demanding a 30 percent cut on subscriptions from other providers is pretty smarmy. They are just getting kind of ‘Microsofty’ in thier successful. The Xoom is clearly the most viable competitor with iPad. But don’t get me wrong. The iPad is awesome and I’ve spent hundreds of hours with it, playing and working. I just think the limitations are starting to grate on my nerves. The main thing I’m dissapointed in concerning the Xoom is the placement of all the connectors is on the bottom (or top) and the headphone jack is on the other top or bottom.

I’m not sure if this was deliberate, but I suspect it was a play to sell the different stands that they offer. Charger stand and Speaker stand. And as a Flash developer, I’m waiting for the download to see my priceless flash stuff, but it is still not there yet. The data plans seem a little pricey, but that should probably work itself out with other providers entering the data plan market for android devices. Front camera and ‘HD’ video are awesome. The facing camera is not something I’m used to, but it works fine. I am new to android, so, I’m not always certain what I’m looking at and looking for in the market. It’s not clear to me what things are designed for the Xoom and what things are for phones. I am enjoying it so far. And it’s kind of refreshing to experience a desktop that’s not Windows or Mac (or iOS).
